Safety

As we prepare to reopen, the health and safety of our community is our top priority.

As of December 2021, Atomix has implemented the following best practices to safeguard the health of our guests and team members:

1 Proof of vaccination & NEgative results

2 Mandatory Face Coverings

3 Rigorous Sanitation Procedures

4 Enforced Distancing

5 Updated Guest Interactions

6 Team Health + Wellness

7 Continued Education

Proof of Vaccination & Negative Test Results

All Atomix staff are fully vaccinated, and are required to test negative on arrival to work with employer-provided rapid Covid-19 test kits prior to beginning any tasks. Should there be a negative test or any uncertainties about health conditions due to any reason, the employee will seek proper medical immediately as well as quarantine until reliable negative tests are provided.

All staff are required to provide PCR negative test results every 2-3 days, which are kept on record.

Mandatory Face Coverings

Masks or safe face coverings are mandatory for all team members, guests, vendors, and anyone that enters our premises at entry. Our team members are provided with PPE while at work and are required to wear it at all times. Guests, vendors, and delivery personnels that enter our premises will be informed ahead of time regarding the “No Mask No Entry” policy, and all Ato team members are encouraged to strictly enforce the protocol.

Unless seated at the Chef’s Counter, all guests are required to be masked indoors, including when utilizing the restroom during the tasting menu experience.

Rigorous Sanitation Procedures

Our cleaning, disinfecting, & sanitizing processes have been updated to incorporate heightened attention to detail exceeding CDC guidelines.

All team members are trained on the updated disinfecting/sanitizing procedures and the EPA registered products that kill 99% of germs and kill Norovirus in as fast as 45 seconds. The following list of locations and fixtures are disinfected as often as needed dependent on usage and at least multiple times during operations:

  • Tables & Chairs, Chef’s Counter Table

  • All Kitchen Surfaces, Sinks & Faucets, Refrigeration Units

  • All Shared Tools (including kitchen tools, pens, check presenters, cleaning supplies)

  • Doors, Door Handles, and Windows

  • Sanitizing Stations

  • Sinks & Faucets, Toilets

  • Handrails

  • Light Switches

  • POS Terminals & iPads

Enforced Distancing

Our dining rooms have reduced capacity to dining guests only, in order to practice social distancing.

Social distancing will also be enforced to our team members during at work with following guidelines:

Upon arrival/before departure:

·   No physical contact when greeting one another, and no gathering throughout and before/after service

·   Distance and staggered usage of the locker area

Pre-shift:

·   Maintain social distancing each other as much as possible, with limited number of team members permitted in smaller, enclosed areas such as the walk-in refrigerator, dry-storage area, and the wine room.

Family meal:

·   Limit sharing of tables, be 6ft apart from one another

·   Avoid long conversations when in close proximity of one another

Pre-shift meeting:

·   Limit verbal exchanges, utilize electronic and/or written shareable information

·   Limit sharing of tables, spread apart as much as possible

During Service:

·   Stay only in designated areas as much as possible

·   Limit time at the table with guests, always approach with a clean mask

·   Be mindful of approaching tables with spacing, length of time in close proximity to one another and guests

·   Avoid congregating in small spaces, such as areas in the kitchen or behind the bar

·   Follow the recommended frequency of disinfecting shared areas (POS stations, counter tops)

·   Respect social distancing guidelines when using the restrooms with guests present, disinfecting in full promptly after each use

Updated Guest Interactions

We have minimized contact points between our guests and our team to ensure safety and comfort during the dining experience.

  • Guests will be instructed with expectations ahead of their reservations on the updated policies.

  • Hand sanitizers are available in multiple locations in our restaurants, and additional sanitizing measures are readily available for all employees and guests upon request.

  • Diners will be presented with their personal menu cards and QR codes for the wine lists to minimize contact.

  • Tableside beverage service will be expedited and shortened.

  • Utensils will be served in sterile conditions, and will be disinfected fully before next usage.

  • Contactless payment options will be available.

Team Health + Wellness

The health and safety of our staff has always been the foundation of Ato. On top of continuing to create safe and clean work environments, we will be conducting:

  • Daily health assessment (at home prior to and upon arrival at work)

  • Daily temperature screening and logs, or as frequently as needed

  • In addition, as per NY State law, all team members are fully vaccinated

Any team members with COVID-19 symptoms will be mandated to stay home and visit a COVID-19 testing site, and will only be allowed back into the work environment when 1) there is no fever or ongoing symptoms 2) are able to provide a negative PCR test.

Per NY State law, team members will be provided at least five days of paid sick leave, if they are under a mandatory or precautionary order of quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19.

Continued Education

Our collective knowledge about COVID-19, and the best ways to prevent and combat its spread is constantly changing. As a business and team, we will continue to research, educate, and incorporate best practices including those pertaining to new variants.
