New York City, July 2019

In July of 2019, Atomix hosted its first collaboration in New York with Gaon from Seoul, Korea. Led by Chef Byoung Jin Kim, Gaon is well-known for its deep consideration of the foundations of Korean cuisine, leading an introspective yet progressive Korean food culture in Korea.

This collaboration focused on pushing the boundaries and defining new styles in the utilization of grains, in celebration of the two restaurants’ mutual respect and homage for Korean techniques and ingredients.
